climbing gear!

Fri Oct 19, 2007, 4:45 PM
I'm SO friggen psyched its not even funny! Today I went out and bought some rock climbing gear!

I had to call Calgary Transit... (Stupid Calgary Transit) to find out how to get to the store I wanted to get to, but after I got on the bus, I realized I forgot the address in the apartment... so I got home about an hour later, got the address... and found out that the lady from the CT line gave me the wrong directions... she said it goes PAST the store, but it doesnt, it goes NEAR the store, but she said it had a stop right outside... so I got off to try and get there by looking at address numbers... I stopped off at an ice cream place to get directions, and they told me to go the way I came, and I should be there in about 15 min... but they told me to go in the opposite direction!

So I'm getting mad... I stop off at a sports store and ask the guy there, he said that I was about a half hour walk away... BLAH! So now I'm really mad, and I decide to go home... what a waste of a day right? BUT! The bus I got on went right past the store! I got off, was in the store for maybe 20 minutes, got my rock climbing shoes... which fit great and are SO comfortable, a harness, and a package that came with it for cheaper than if I got everything seperate... I got a harness, chalk, a chalk bag, a carabeaner, and a belaying device. WOOOO! I can't wait to get started!

It might be a while before I can afford a pass, I'm thinking of getting monthly passes... I'd get a year long pass... but that costs A LOT... well, a lot for me right now... anyway, the gist is... I can't wait to get started, and WOOOOOOOOOOO!

Fri Oct 5, 2007, 8:49 PM
Soooo, today Dan and I moved all my things into his place. When we finally got it all up the stairs, I unpacked some stuff, and then we went out to dinner at this place called Brewsters, and it was AMAZING! My gosh! its the best food I've ever had in a restaurant! I got this Strawberry Almond salad to start... wow! and I got this Chicken Frazsiki or something like that. I was sooo satisfied!

This is the best day I've had in a loooooong time. Now we are hanging out in the apartment with Adam over.

Blah... now I just have to get ready for work tomorrow... thank goodness I get to sleep in for an hour... I love weekends... good news - I dont have to work on monday... (which is a holiday... it will be busy at work, i can tell you that much!)

"It's just money" & update.

Wed Sep 19, 2007, 5:43 PM
Well, the money thing speaks for itself I think... anyway, I'll spell it out, and spoon feed it to you. I'm worried about friggen money. It would be great if I found a great big bag of it somewhere. BUT... *sigh* it *is* only money... it is only a temporary thing... and it can be made again. And well... I'm young... there is plenty of time to make and worry about money later on in life.

I got a new job. At the Sheraton out here, that should be pretty good.

Not much else to say, or... not really in the mood to say anything.

two weeks to find a job

Wed Sep 5, 2007, 3:10 PM
sooooo,
i have two weeks to find a new job.

heres the gist. my sister wants her and her husband to spend more time with the kid, so they are working split shifts. so lou will stay home in the mornings, then in the afternoon, spring will be home with alithia.

where does this leave me?
without a job. effective in two weeks on the 21st.

i have no idea where i want to work, i think i might apply at the wal*mart photo lap, because i really want to learn A LOT more about photography, and it would be cool to see how things get done in that sense. i was thinking this weekend i was going to get a part time job or volunteer as a photographers assistant or something. so this might work out. i know... i know... wal*mart... blech right? but its near my house.

anyway, im going to apply for a whole whack of jobs, and whatever i get, i get. a job is a job, and if i get one, im not going to complain.
